Thomas, a Danish architect, says he's in Brazil on vacation but the truth lies elsewhere. In reality, Thomas deeply longs to have a child of his own. His application for adoption was turned down in Denmark because he is gay but Thomas has heard that he might be able to buy a baby in Brazil. Thomas soon finds himself at odds with the law. He gets himself in serious trouble but then he meets a woman and after that, nothing will ever be the same again.
