anglais John Wayne carries this film on his shoulders the whole time and he doesn't mind playing positions that aren't exactly desirable. I'm not saying he's demeaning himself, not at all, but he shows weaknesses, which might be atypical for John. But it's part of aging, and he is excellent in similar roles. This is confirmed once again. Maureen O'Hara is wonderful here. ()
