anglais I'm not sure if the symbolism of the film was so deep that I didn't understand it, or whether it really was based on such a simple principle. Then, of course, the consistent super-realism and eccentricity seem a little self-purposeful. Visually there are beautiful scenes, their connection with music is excellent, but the poetic speeches and the overall mood of this pastoral kind of missed the mark for me. I saw it as a parable of faith and hope and their different forms. The choice of people with Down syndrome is interesting and corresponds to the overall touch of the black-and-white parable... As much as I love movies like this, Little Baby Jesus of Flandr didn't captivate me... ()
