I know. The story is familiar, the plots of each episode occasionally ring a bell, and the characters presented by the narrator initially give the feeling that someone unwittingly exaggerated the similarities. But there is another aspect here – that pleasant feeling that other sitcoms set in New York give non-stop. Mad Love doesn't manage to join them in all their glory, because inconsistent viewer numbers are hardly forgiven in favor of potential hits, but I have nothing but words of praise for them, thanks in no small part to the great cast (led by the unstoppable Tyler Labine). This series did not deserve to be cancelled.
