The Budapest actor, Romándy Gábor, receives a letter from Israel informing him that his father, Romándy Raffael, the famous archaeologist, died more than a year ago. He travels there right away and meets his fathers young widow. In his bitterness, he blames his fathers death on the woman. His father survived the forced labour camp, emigrated to Israel before the birth of his son, thus they could never meet. Katherine invites Gábor into Raffaels house, and Gábor searches through the belongings of his father. He discovers that his father secretly kept an eye on his career all the time. Katherines friend, Johann, is making a portrait film about Raffael, and asks Gábor to play his own father in the key scene. Katherine and Gábor fall in love with each other, but first have to clarify their own emotions in order to truly find each other. (texte officiel du distributeur)
