Arthur a vingt-cinq ans, il est apprenti tailleur dans l'atelier d'Albert, quatre-vingts ans. Albert aime Arthur comme son fils, qui le lui rend bien, et part bientôt à la retraite. Il a choisi Arthur comme successeur. Mais un soir, Arthur est emmené au théâtre par son ami Sylvain. Il tombe fou amoureux de Marie-Julie, l'actrice principale de la pièce. Pour la séduire, Arthur lui fabrique une petite robe. Les deux amants décident de ne plus jamais se séparer, se lancent le défi de tout abandonner pour vivre leur amour. Mais Arthur peut-il assumer de faire défaut à Albert ? (MK2)

The protagonist of the film is a boy who is supposed to take over the tailor shop of his master, who is suffering from an incurable disease. He doubts himself and is somewhat scared of the idea of having to make a living with needle and thread and thus copying his teacher's path for his whole life. In the midst of this, he meets a charming girl who is trying her hand at an artistic career as an actress in a Parisian theater. Suddenly, a difficult choice arises - to leave his sick master and accompany his girlfriend on tour or to stay and ease the dying of his mentor. An interestingly shot and strongly cast medium-length film for festival audiences. Overall impression: 60%.
