An animation designer, Éva works at home, while waiting for her lover or phoning him. After her parents' car accident she was adopted by Tibor, at the age of 13 she was raped by her foster father, and their secret connection has been maintained ever since. After the short holiday spent together, Tibor talks in television about white lies and the technique of a double life. On arriving he loses a letter in which he is sent to work in South America with his family. Éva sets out to meet Tibor, but sees his wife in the street, pregnant with child. Tibor's phone message: he has become a free man and is coming tonight. Éva, step by step, designs her suicide, to make it appear as a murder committed by Tibor, and arranges the arrival of the police, the neighbours, and Tibor's wife to coincide. (Budapest Film)
