anglais It is a western remake of the film "High in the Mountains," or rather a western adaptation of Burnett's novel, which he did not contribute to the screenplay this time. The plot is essentially the same, but suddenly you realize that the western look suits it incredibly well. Additionally, Joel McCrea is not a classic handsome man, but he has something quite human, natural in him, which makes him a more ordinary person than other stars of that time. "Sullivan's Travels" convinced me that I can trust him, and he only confirmed it. Raoul Walsh directed a remake of his own film, and it must be said that it is even better. He approached the theme more broadly, developed the characters more, and the ending is therefore even stronger. ()
