It seems almost surprising that it is possible to build a relatively functional thriller around such a deviation. However, it is fully demonstrated that pornography, or rather hardcore erotica, can be a part of a film and enhance the experience, not just fuel fantasies and serve as something that motivates masturbation. However, these are rather exceptions than the rule.
