Documentary film The Last Caravan presents lives and life-style of last authentic comedians – puppeteers in the Central European region – in various cultural and social contexts. They are literally the last strolling comedians; some of them are still playing and living in their caravans. They still keep their life-style of wandering entertainers. Besides the individual people’s life, the film focuses on common roots of this kind of European culture. Following are the main strengths of the documentary: impressive topic; appealing individual portraits; artistic and visual potential of puppet theatre. Film shows four nomad family portraits – The Dubsky and Anderle Family from Slovakia, The Kopecky and Novak Family from Czech republic, The Kemeny Family from Hungary and The Domrowski Family from Germany.
