The needle-woman Tóth Manci is dreaming about becoming a prima donna one day when she meets and falls in love with the poor, but ambitious poet of a promising talent, Csacsinszky Pál under a huge acacia tree with purple flowers in the City Park of Budapest. Pál, however, is in a platonic love with Mrs. Bizonyos Lola. But the lady considers him a toy boy only, and her fickleness and voluptuousness soon makes him disillusioned. He wants to forget her in Mr. Lezsi's casino when he finds Manci again, a new dancer-star by now. By the time he recognises that it was Manci who has always meant true love and the innocence of youth in his life, the girl is on a train taking her to a world tour. (texte officiel du distributeur)
