Set in lower Manhattan, Purple Violets is a sparkling romantic comedy about four friends from college ready for change. Patti Peterson (Selma Blair - Legally Blonde) is a promising writer but work and marriage keep her from her dream. Her yearning to write is complicated after running into first love Brian Cahill (Patrick Wilson - Little Children), a successful crime novelist. Meanwhile, Patti's best friend Kate (Debra Messing - Will and Grace) is a tough-talking schoolteacher who has a few problems of her own. (Umbrella Entertainment)
