anglais There is a lot you can read about The Garden of Allah. It is spiced up, for example, by Marlene's daughter Maria Riva in her ironic book about her mother. But what is the film really like? It’s an intoxicating Technicolor drama set in the desert through the deep eyes of Dietrich and Boyer. The costumes are sometimes rough, but where Travis Banton has unofficially returned to the game, everything is perfectly fine. Pastel colors, flowing coats, and eternal cuteness in her eyes... A hypnotic experience. ()
