Villager Hujer is hiding a stranger in his loft. He warned the man that his son would be coming back home on leave from the army. The old neighbour is looking for sacks in Hujer's loft. He catches a glimpse of the hiding man, who starts threatening him with a pistol. Shortly after, Hujer comes to the loft and with a single look finds out what has happened: his neighbour is lying on the floor, unconscious, and the visitor is holding a gun in his hand. He realizes in horror who he was helping. He also understands that if his son - a young man, and also a soldier - had come to the loft, the fight could have ended tragically. He orders the man to leave immediately, becouse he is going to report his presence to the authorities. (texte officiel du distributeur)
