Octobre 1962, la crise des missiles de Cuba plonge la planète dans la psychose atomique. Située à seulement 150 km des côtes cubaines, la ville de Key West se prépare au pire. Au milieu du tumulte, Gene Loomis, un adolescent solitaire, attend la venue du producteur de films d'épouvante Lawrence Woolsey. Ce dernier doit y présenter "Mant!" : l'histoire d'un homme transformé en fourmi géante après une exposition aux ondes radioactives. Projeté en Atomo Vision, l'évènement va bien plus loin qu'une simple séance de cinéma, et Woolsey profite de l'agitation ambiante pour semer la panique en ville... (Carlotta Films)
