I was punished for my desire for a nice new Czech fairy tale by this eccentricity, which is the product of excessive reading of infantile fantasy literature and eating raw magic mushrooms. An unbelievable mixture of screenwriting nonsense, acting incompetence, the absence of any fairy-tale poetics and "funny" inserts that smell like an institution for the mentally ill. Tajemství Lesné země breaks the rules of the fairy-tale plot and, what's worse, it doesn't replace them with anything, only with boundless and volatile tailings. The poor children, the poor adults.
