anglais Calcutta, 1962. Here we get Saif Ali Khan, Vidya Balan, Raima Sen, Sanjay Dutt and Rekha in a poignant tale of longing across an age-old feud in which property and family always clash. It’s visually captivating, with a beautifully built subtle mood around the fragile microcosm of the main characters. However, I wouldn't have dreamed of the Devdas connection and the possibility of watching versions of this story in triplicate in each decade of the 1940s to the 1960s. ()
