Of course, this is a sentimental film through and through, but that doesn't matter at all because there are interesting characters, led by John Wayne, but mainly there are also excellent war scenes that resonate incredibly well for their time, which surprised me. The ending could probably have been more emotional, but I was still satisfied with it. ()
