Space Race

A rarely consistent documentary where an interesting topic is complemented by high-quality production and modern filmmaking techniques. Even the often problematic method of reenacting historical events isn't a detriment here, as the actors perform their roles surprisingly well. The creators didn't overwhelm viewers with an excess of information, yet they managed to portray all the crucial elements that shaped the history of space exploration. They maintained the necessary tension in depicting the rivalry between the two teams until the very end, resulting in an engaging documentary that both entertains and educates.
