John Hatch is a professional assassin who works directly for the head of the C.I.A. He's one of the best, but he's not proud of it and wants to retire. And his last assignment seems like an easy one-"remove" Savannah Miles, a beautiful young woman who is supposedly bribing as U.S. Senator. But things aren't always what they seem to be and when he learns she is a pawn in a much larger game, Hatch tires to redeem his own life by protecting hers- and putting himself into the line of fire.
