The Heartbreak Kid

I really liked how the film had a dramatic undertone for a large part of its runtime, where it would take only a little for the comedy to turn into something more tragic. I was a bit disappointed that the finale was almost a happy ending. However, fortunately, it was only almost, because even what is presented here is ultimately ambiguous. The film is well directed and acted. The poor remake by the Farrelly brothers doesn’t even come close. (19/08/2015)
