Even though it's one of the oldest sci-fi films, moreover dealing with an encounter with an extraterrestrial race that has a pacifist society, it doesn't change the fact that it's still visible how this piece is outdated and lacks something. Nevertheless, it's an interesting example of how sci-fi has developed, also in terms of how different technologies were portrayed.
