Marlon Brando simply does not disappoint, although it is clear from his performance that this will probably not be a classic romance. In fact, the theme of racial difference and hidden - and not so hidden - hatred, which is determined by historical events, is at the center of the action. Although the film is Hollywood at first glance, it has a theme that is deeper, although handled in a slightly superficial way.
