My American Cousin

In 1950s British Columbia, 12-year-old Sandy Wilcox (Margaret Langrick) longs for adventure and acknowledgment of her impending adulthood, and she finds both in spades with her cousin Butch (John Wildman), several years her elder. He arrives unexpectedly from America, introduces her to rock music and makes her swoon. Although her crush on her cousin wavers when she learns that he's actually stolen his mother's car and run away from home, their encounter nonetheless proves unforgettable. (Park Circus)
