Border Line

Matsuda, a problem teenager and secondary school misfit, kills his father one day and uses his bike to get away. Aikawa, a shopkeeper, has been left by her husband and discovers that her son is bullied at school. Desperate at her dire financial situation, she decides to rob a bank and kidnap one of the boys who torment her son. A middle-aged yakuza discovers that his associate has stolen money from his boss and receives instructions to retrieve it. (San Sebastian International Film Festival)
