Critiques (2)
The particular legend around this film is not very transparent for me. I could accept Tyrone Power, and some European-tinged numbers here and there, but everything else is just plain lemonade. I would have preferred Ethel Merman in a more prominent role and costumes that described the time of the story and not just the time of creation. ()
I was expecting that this movie would be something exceptional, but it simply didn't come across as exceptional at all to me. It felt like watching an uninteresting romance that leaned more towards drama, with some entertaining scenes and a few musical numbers that definitely won't stay in my head. The film "Alexandr's Ragtime Band" just didn't do much for me. ()
