Critiques (2)
The particular legend around this film is not very transparent for me. I could accept Tyrone Power, and some European-tinged numbers here and there, but everything else is just plain lemonade. I would have preferred Ethel Merman in a more prominent role and costumes that described the time of the story and not just the time of creation. ()
I guess I was expecting this film to be something special, but I just didn't find it special at all. It's like I'm watching an uninteresting romance that goes more the way of drama, but there are some funny scenes and a musical number that definitely won't stick in my head. The movie just didn't do much for me. ()
