anglais What I expect from Christmas films of this type is a powerful dose of romance and melodrama. Given the circumstances, I’m normally okay with that. This time I almost gave up on watching as the play on emotions was a little too much at first. Fortunately, I hung in there, and the creators did get the story under control. Thanks to the fact that quality humor wasn’t scarce, I had a surprisingly good time. Sure, it was all sweet and sappy, but as I said, I'm more tolerant when it comes to Christmas movies. I don’t want to be a Grinch. I enjoyed the second Letters to Santa and I must admit that there are pretty women even in Poland. ()

anglais The first installment was a pleasant Polish surprise for me. Screenwriting-wise, the Polish proved that they can also make a Christmas comedy, which quietly connects a number of different lives… and it still manages to make sense. The label of the Polish answer to Love Actually was really justified. The second installment is a notch weaker, but it’s still very nice. The actors are, thankfully, reappearing, which is good. I remembered them quickly. What’s worse (even though only about a notch) is the connection of the individual lives into a united finale. Actually, screenwriting-wise it’s a lot simpler when compared to the first installment. The truth is, though, that it’s still a very pleasant Christmas comedy. ()
