anglais A perfectly handled expression of just about every emotion that infidelity can bring with it. It's one of those silent films with long takes and melancholy music, but given the subject matter, it suited me perfectly. You could say there's not much going on since the film only focuses on the progression of the affair and the characters' feelings. Still, I enjoyed watching the two lovers get consumed by their desire and stop being grounded. She goes from wife to lover, forgets her hobbies, neglects to take care of the household, and her family slowly takes a back seat. They managed to capture the fear of discovery so well that I was right there with them. From the very first meetings and introductions, there was an amazing chemistry between them that was hard to resist. This piece just got to me. 4.5 stars. ()
