Lili is a seamstress. Her parents died long ago, her brother, Ádám is in jail. Her lover, Dávid, son of a high ranking military officer is student at the university. Gyuri, a friend of Ádám is released from prison and pays a visit to Lili. Soon Ádám arrives as well. They live in three - sometimes in four with Dávid - in the two-room flat in Pest, where the atmosphere is very tense all the time, the simplest sentence or gesture can be reason for quarrel. Gyuri wants to go abroad. Lili falsifies a fake passport for him, because she is afraid that he will kill himself if not let go. Gyuri finally leaves.
