After 40 years in service, Tóth Mihály retires as a night-watch at a wood-yard. It is his last day at work, and while he is dreaming about a festive farewell party in honour of him, the wood-yard gets destroyed in a fire. The celebration is cancelled, of course, the damage is HUF 1.5 million, an enormous amount of money. As a miraculous luck would have it, the day after Tóth wins the jackpot on the lottery, and the money is just as much as the amount of the damage. When he wants to settle his debt, he ends up in a neurological ward of a clinic. The diagnosis of his chronic disease is an incorrigible honesty for which no cure is known. At last, Tóth pretends to commit a suicide, leaves his money to the state, and withdraws into a cave, far away from the Pharisaic society. (texte officiel du distributeur)
