anglais Through and through a very weak, average film with the interesting duo of Perkins - Bronson, neither of whom (surprisingly) impressed with anything. I thought the idea of a clever murder was very ingenious, but the execution felt naive in the end. I had the impression that the fool played by Charles Bronson would have been happy to be told that he was the Queen of England and would have then gone to Buckingham Palace. Just because. Yes, the revelation of his true identity did go some way to explaining why he was so easy to influence, but still... Even the villains in the most banal Columbo plots didn't "go for it" that easily. The final twenty minutes were good and are very nicely paced and "psycho", and also Dvořák's “New World" symphony, which sounds through the whole film and makes a very pleasant atmosphere. ()
