The parallel histories of a clockmaker and his family from Ugocsa street from the 40s and 50s and of a well-to-do Jewish upholsterer family from 1944. The two friends recall the history of the two families, their happy childhood, the values of their families and the historical era with the help amateur films and imaginary contemporary video-recordings. All these things have been forgotten like still-born children or extinct animal species. In 1992 the Horváth family gathers together in their house at Lake Balaton, only the grandfather is no longer with them. Wolframbarát digs out the bottle of wine in the garden which was buried there by the father in 1948. (texte officiel du distributeur)
