In 1945 the territories taken from the Third-Reich and connected to Poland resembled the Wild West. Same as its American counterpart, it was being populated not only by orderly farmers, but also by adventurers, gold-diggers and criminals. The ideal material for a "Polish Western" was rendered successfully by the Jerzy Hoffman ? Edward Skórzewski directorial tandem. (Summer Film School)
