Man—the master of creation, the destroyer of ecosystems. A multicellular organism that has conquered the world. But if unicellular organisms could communicate with us, what would they tell us? The short film Monocellular was produced in a single week as a result of cooperation between a microbiologist and a filmmaker. Together, they created an experimental format combining fiction and current scientific knowledge, documentary, and animation techniques, giving the world under a microscope an opportunity to speak. A world that fascinates people while hardly being fascinated by us. (Academia Film Olomouc)
