Au cours d’une de ses représentations, l’acteur Yukinojo Nakamura reconnait dans le public le seigneur Dobé et deux de ses complices. Ce sont les hommes qui ont conduit son père à la faillite, et provoqué le suicide de ses parents. Yukinojo va pouvoir venger ses parents. (Arcadès)

A good story, spiced up with Japanese theater, and on top of that, a great form chosen by the legendary Kon Ichikawa. Excellent moments, but also excellent elements that are associated with action samurai films, as well as kabuki theater itself. The form slightly prevails over the story, but it doesn't really matter that much.
