Tant qu'il y aura des hommes

A great classic that fully deserves the label. A strong story, excellent actors and the constant threat of war hanging in the air, which finally strikes and shakes everything up. The film would have greatly benefited from a more lavish widescreen format. (23/11/2018)

Currently, it is no longer a film that works as well as it did sixty years ago. It is a response to Pearl Harbor, but also to the problems that existed and still exist in the army. Montgomery Clift once again shows what a great actor he was and how well he was watched in every role. Men, in general, take the lead in this film, both in terms of acting and not just quantitatively. (21/11/2014)
