She was born in Buenos Aires and grew up in Texas, USA, until 1981. She studied Classical Literature at the Buenos Aires University. She graduated as Director at INCAA Film School. Her fiction feature films: Smokers Only (Vagón fumador) in 2001, premiered at Venice Film Festival; Agua, 2006, premiered at Locarno Film Festival; Rabbit Woman (Mujer conejo), 2013, premiered in San Sebastián Film Festival; Rosita, 2018, premiered in Mar del Plata International Film Festival; High Tide, 2020, premiered at Sundance International Film Festival, Miami International Film Festival, Sitges International Film Festival, among others. She also directed part of The Coast Quartet, 4 autonomous films, thematically linked and sharing some characters.
