Malene Vilstrup graduated as an animation director at the animation line on The Danish Film School in 1994. Malene Vilstrup has studied with Jannik Hastrup and worked for the animation studios Tegnedrengene and Lille Møller. In 2002 she graduated from ARTBIZZ as an art consultant for business conditions. Malene Vilstrup have directed the film EL NINO (1992), CARDBOARD DOG (1994) and the award winning animated film A DOGS LIFE (1996). Malene Vilstrup has written ZAFIR together with Hans Hansen.
