Biographie

Dagur Kári was born in France and raised in Iceland but he graduated from The National Filmschool of Denmark in 1999. He wrote and directed his first feature, NÓI ALBÍNÓI (2003), in Icelandic. It has already sold to 15 territories and premiered recently in New York. It won 18 international prices, among others The People's Choice Award at Rotterdam International Film Festival, the prestigious Fipresci-Filmcritics Awards at Gothenburg Film Festival and The Guardian New Directors Awards at Edinburgh International Film Festival. Dagur Kári's graduate film, LOST WEEKEND, also won a sea of awards (14): For example, Best Feature Film at the Premiere Plans and Clermont Ferrant in France.
