Michael Rainey Jr.

Michael Rainey Jr. who is 11 years old was born on September 22nd, 2000 in Louisville, Kentucky, where he lived for one month and moved back to Staten Island, New York where his parents lived most of their lives, his Mother Jamaican born and his Father is a Native New Yorker.

Michael has been in shows such as Sesame Street, Law and Order, he has done commercials and print ads for Toy R Us, Target, AT&T and other companies. The job which was a life changing moment was the video he did for the song Regalo PuiGrande, by Tizziano Ferro. Where he was seen on MTV in Italy by Silvio Muccino (director) and Carla Vangelista(writer) while writing the screen play for the movie UN ALTRO MONDO (a Universal Picture Film) which landed him a lead role for the movie playing the character "Charlie."

Michael, who is American, lived in Italy for some time to prepare for this film went from speaking only English to speaking fluent Italian for his role (his first movie). This movie was filmed in Rome, Italy and Nairobi, Kenya. Michael, now in the 6th grade, has been home schooled since the 1st grade.

Michael enjoys skate boarding, bike riding, playing video games, graffiti, playing the drums and piano. He takes piano lessons and does well with music theory. In his spare time he enjoys making his own music and rapping, and yes sings as well but doesn't like everyone to know he has a voice.
