Biographie

Benedikt Erlingsson (b. 1969), award-winning author and actor, is one of Iceland's most highly regarded stage directors of the last decade. In his native country he is best known for writing and acting in the TV comedy series "Blood Brothers." He is also familiar from Lars von Trier's The Boss of It All (2006). After making acclaimed short films he turned out his feature film debut Of Horses and Men, which he has added to an ever-expanding, extremely colourful festival career. Awards: Best Film in the New Directors competition (San Sebastian), Best Director (Tokyo), Grand Jury Prize (Les Arcs), Best Feature Debut (Tallinn), Audience Award (Tormsø) and many others.
