Shaunak Sen is an Indian filmmaker and film scholar living in New Delhi. The multi award-winning Cities of Sleep (2016), his first feature-length documentary film, was shown at several international film festivals, including DOK Leipzig, DMZ Docs and Taiwan International Documentary Festival. All That Breathes, his second feature-length documentary film, had its world premiere at Sundance Film Festival, where it won the Grand Jury Prize. It went on to win the Œil d’or for Best Documentary Film at Cannes.
