Tamara Segura

Biographie

Tamara Segura is a Cuban Canadian filmmaker who graduated from the International Film School of San Antonio de los Banos, Cuba, an acclaimed institution founded by Nobel laureate Gabriel García Márquez to help diversify the globe's cinematic landscape. Segura's films have been awarded film prizes in Spain, Cuban Canana and Mexico. Tamara has co-directed Becoming Labrador (2019), a feature-length documentary produced by the National Film Board of Canada that screened at the Closing Night of the Reelworld Festival 2019. Her short film C Sharp and D Suspended (2018), one of the finalists of the CBC Short Film Face Off contest, premiered at the East Coast Reel Gala of the FIN Festival 2018 and is available in CBC Gem.
