Biographie
Member of the Academy of Arts in Berlin, he was trained as a draftsman before studying philosophy and literature. He began making films in 1973 and since then his career has focused on the relationship between cinema and other arts such as photography and architecture. He has directed, for instance, Loos Ornamental (2008).
