Silvano Agosti

On ending high school, Silvano Agosti (Brescia, 1938) left for London to see Chaplin’s house. He then travelled in France and Germany, hitch-hiking around the Mediterranean. In 1962 he graduated in directing at the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia. He then specialized at the Gerasimov Institute of Cinematography (VGIK) in Moscow in editing techniques and Eisenstein. He visited the Soviet Union, America and India, and settled in Rome. There, he played and worked as a projectionist and animator at the Azzurro Scipioni cinema, and shot almost all of his films.
