Biographie

TODD STRAUSS-SCHULSON makes his feature film directorial debut on "A Very Harold & Kumar 3D Christmas."

Strauss-Schulson began making short films at the age of 13, when his grandfather gave him a video camera for his Bar Mitzvah. He graduated from Emerson College, where he received numerous awards, including Panavision's prestigious New Filmmakers prize. Upon moving to Los Angeles, he began directing high concept music videos for major label artists.

He has helmed a number of TV shows and short films, working with comic greats like Stephen Colbert, Richard Belzer, Lewis Black, Jeff Ross, Patton Oswalt, Colin Quinn, Jackie Mason, Laura Silverman and Damon Wayans. Strauss-Schulson's short "Mano-A-Mano" was a selection of the 2008 South By Southwest Film Festival. In 2009, the festival asked him back to premiere the latest short he wrote, directed and edited, entitled "Big Pussy," which was subsequently selected to screen at the world famous Just For Laughs Comedy Festival in Montreal.

He has also worked on national branding projects for such clients as Sony Crackle, College Humor, Atom Films, Pepsi, Microsoft, Twix, Old Spice, Sierra Mist, Butterfinger, Philips, Nestea, Fender, Skoal Chewing Tobacco, Mountain Dew, Lipton, and Nestle, among others.
