Biographie

Film director, producer, anthropologist and writer. Founder and CEO of production company Elk Film, dedicated to developing and producing high-end content for the international market. Educated as an anthropologist from Aarhus University and Denis Diderot Paris VII in 2005, and educated as a fiction director at the National Danish Filmschool in 2009. Andreas Dalsgaard has directed and produced a number of award winning documentaries, among others Afghan Muscles (2007), Bogota Change (2009), The Human Scale (2012), Life Is Sacred (2013), Redane (2014), The Great Game (2018), The War Show (2017) and The Lost Leonardo (2021). Directorial awards include the Venice Days Grand Prix, The American Film Institute Grand Prix, Dragon Award Göteborg Film Festival, Danish Critics Association Film of the Year, Geneva Human Rights Award and Al Jazeera Grand Prix.
