Sandra Romero studied Journalism in Seville and Filmmaking at the ECAM. She has directed the short films Una habitación propia (2018), premiered at the Seville Festival, El perro de un torero (2022) and Por donde pasa el silencio (2020), winner of the Silver Biznaga for Best Short Film at the Malaga Festival and the basis for her first feature of the same title, with whose project she participated in the Berlin Festival's Script Station and the Spanish Film Academy Residencies. She has also directed three episodes of the series Los años nuevos (2024), created and co-directed by Rodrigo Sorogoyen, and premiered out of competition at Venice Film Festival.
