Biographie
Jānis Nords, born in 1983, is a Latvian director. He has worked as an first assistant director in many projects before directing his first feature film Amateur (2008) which also won an award for Best Debut at the Latvian National Film Festival. Nords has studied directing at National Film and Television School in Britain. Mother, I Love You (2014) is Nords's second feature film, and it was also the Latvia's official candidate for the Academy Award for the Best Foreign Language Film.
